About Me

I'm the Gloucester Groundhopper. I have been watching football since 2004, attending my first game at Cheltenham Town with my dad in a game against Bristol Rovers. There have been many adventures that I have been on during my football travels, and I always tend to have a story to tell. From talking to some druggies in Luton, to the subway debacle in Nottingham and seeing human excrement in the streets of Exeter, I have come out with some fantastic, and questionable, memories. So I thought, 'why not share these stories with the world?' This blog has three aims:

1. to give clubs the credit they deserve, whether it be good credit or bad. I am very forthright with how I write, so please don't expect me to be kind all the time.

2. to share the stories I have about my football journey.

3. to expand my own knowledge about the beautiful game.

Here's a little more about me: I am a fan of theatre, both watching and taking part. I have enjoyed playing varying roles in theatre shows, having portrayed Captain Seaton in Pinocchio (2019), Monroe Mitchell in Around the World in 80 Days (2019) and Yuri Nater in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (2020). Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was my own script, and has been heralded as 'a pantomime to remember' by local media. I am currently a student nurse. In my spare time, I enjoy travelling, having visited lots of cities including: Antalya, Athens, Berlin, Prague, Kraków, Amsterdam, Albufeira, Paris, Brussels, Barcelona, Edinburgh, Hammamet and Florida. I have also recently graduated from the University of Worcester with a degree in History.  I am also a season ticket holder at Cheltenham Town FC and enjoy watching movies, especially Marvel and Harry Potter.

Before

Before this blog, I had visited a multitude of grounds, in a variety of leagues- stretching from the Premier League to Non-League. Some of these grounds no longer exist which makes it more important to document our experiences in these grounds whilst we still can. These grounds are: â€‹
